Entering The Race
When I was 420 pounds, I did not think there was a light at the end of the tunnel. I was far off from any type of finish line. I was cynical, I did not want to hear about people losing 30 pounds to hit their goal. I did not want to hear about how easy weight loss was. I did not want to hear any motivational quotes. I just wanted to live.
I did not realize that every decent decision I made got me closer to a light. Maybe not at the end of the tunnel, but a light so I could see. Living in darkness is tough.
Maybe I wished there was someone who told me there was a light.
That is what I am telling you today.
