The “Kim Kardashian 72 Day Trim Down”

I am bad with tracking what I eat. I am bad at tracking everything actually.

I always have been. My wife is a master at it. She knows exactly how many calories she has had at any given time of the day.

I realize though just because you are not good at something does not mean you should give up. You just need to find a better way to do it…..

So I read that Kim Kardashian is getting a divorce after 72 days. It is not like they could say two months. Nope, 72 days. Now, I am not a huge Kim Kardashian fan, but I do think that 72 days is a good amount of time for someone to change their life.

Then I realized that in 72 days it will be my anniversary. I realized that there is two months left in 2011. There is a lot of time to turn a year that I would like to forget into a memorable one.

So I have decided to dedicate the next 72 days to everything I do not like doing. I work out hard, but I do not track what I eat. I think if I did, it would make a huge difference.

So I have decided to start my “Kim Kardashian 72 Day Trim Down”. For the next 72 days, I am going to track what I eat and my workouts. I am going to stick with my 2000 calorie a day plan and try some different workouts.

I also realized that every tracking app I have seems flawed for some reason. Yet, I am really good with Facebook. So I made a page dedicated to what I eat, how I work out, and my trimming down for the next 72 days. it will be separate from everything else because I know that can be annoying for some. If you are interested, here is my page for tracking.

So we shall see how it goes. This is more for me to get myself motivated through the holidays. Plus, I do better when I track.

I think this is an awsome goal and a terrific reason to do it! You are right and I agree that 72 days can change someones life. I’m going to change with you. I have been reading your blog for quite sometime now and I can truly relate to your posts. You make me laugh and cry…..all for the good!

I am inspired by you. I’m going to make this change for 72 days with you. Thanks for all that you do for people you don’t even know.

Sounds like a good idea, I hope it does work out. I have trouble tracking my food intake too, but I actually do worse when I do it, which is totally weird I guess.

I think I’m going to join you! I’ve been working out well, but cheating on my eating tracking. Doing this will help hold me accountable, you rock!

I like this (I don’t care for the “K” family either, btw). I need to get back to tracking too. I was tracking every day until my sister had her stroke five weeks ago. Suddenly, everything in my life seem unimportant in comparison. I was occupied with other tasks.

Now, it’s time to get back to it. Tracking always keeps me, well, on track!

I’m right there with you on this! My goal is to actually lose weight over the upcoming holidays. I know tracking has been key to my weight loss and when I stop tracking, I stop losing.

So, I’m jumping on this “Kim K Trim Down”, but if my ass gets BIGGER at the end of this, I’m hunting you down! ;-)

Here’s to the the next 72 days and a strong finish to 2011!!!

I want to join you, I LOVE this idea, especially with holiday food temptations coming up (and crappy weather). Thank you!

Great idea! I’ve been randomly logging and stalled 11 lbs from goal. I’d love to start the new year AT GOAL! :)

I love that you reminded me that I still have plenty of time to turn around my year. I love that. Thank you.
