I woke up today around 5am. I got up, put my contacts in and went outside of the bedroom.
I was met by my dog, Lil’ B.
“Wow, it has been a while since you did a weigh in, you got this! Oh, I might have peed in the corner, FYI.” my dog said.
As always, she is a peach.
Yes, it has been a while. Now it is a little different. No more Barbara. No more Weight Watchers.
The gym has changed. I have a son. My job is not the same.
I have decided to do something a little different this time. I decided to put each weigh in on my blog via video. Also, I have decided to reach out and try to get each weigh in sponsored by a different company, website, etc. Companies I use and endorse. Websites I use that has helpful information. I thought it would be fun, we will see how it goes.
This week, my weigh in is sponsored by Stonyfield Farm.
We are a Stonyfield family. My son is a Yo Baby, my wife is an O’ Soy, and now, I have become a big Oikos fan.
This was a switch for me over the last year. I have never liked Chobani, although nine bazillion weight loss bloggers have Chobani giveaways and tweet them all the time.
I think it is watery and not the best Greek yogurt. Fage is real good, but is expensive. Lately, it is a little harder to find But, Oikos is at our SUUUUUPPPEEERRRR Target, and everyone else in my family uses Stonyfield products. It is thick, has a real good amount of different flavors, and a lot of protein in each serving!
I think you will agree if you give it a chance.
When I asked Stonyfield to sponsor my first weigh in, the negotiations were tough! Like one email tough.
I want to be wooed! I like swag! I like private jets!
So after tough negotiations, Stonyfield gave me this…….
That is one cute bib! And putting a smile on my son’s face is the best thing in the world!
Actually, they gave me a cool giveaway. I enjoy doing cool giveaways. So, here it goes.
I am giving away one Oikos gift pack with an Oikos apron, a mini blender (You could be the talk of your Shakeology seminars!), an Oikos spatula, recipes, and coupons for some free Oikos products.
I will be choosing one person at random the evening of Thursday Jan 27th, 2011. All you need to do is leave a comment between now and Thursday. Any comment. Or, you could tell me your favorite flavor of yogurt.
Me….plain!
I do want to thank Stonyfield for sponsoring my second weigh in. Their yogurts are quality, and have made my family happy for quite some time.
So this week has been good. My workouts have been a little more cardio oriented. I did eat a little less food as well. I took in more water, and I tracked food, although I am still about 70% on that.
And here it is, my weigh in, sponsored by Stonyfield Farm.
I lost 4 Oikos Pints!

Congratulations on the 4 pounds! WTG! I love Oikos Yogurt! I will eat any flavor… Congrats again!
Tracy
Great job!
Mmm, my favorite flavor? I like vanilla, and then I spice it up a bit by topping with fresh berries!
Nice job ya dirty bit. I like free stuff. Free, free, free, everybody wants something for free!
Awesome job on the loss, My fave yoghurts are Weight Watcher Deserts in the lemon cheesecake and toffee apple flavors

Sweet. I just tried greek yogurt for the first time this weekend! So yummy. Bummed that I waited so long to try it! So far I’m digging the chobani plain with blueberry on the bottom. Good to know you like the oikos best. I’m looking forward to trying greek yogurt lots of new ways.
thanks for the giveaway!
Congrats! I haven’t tried Oikos yet but as a cheap Fage fan, I suppose I should give it a go and see if it’s as tasty – and makes as good of a vegetable dip!
I was a plain yogurt girl myself, SO GOOD, until I started reacting poorly to dairy (even yogurt, BOO!), so now I’m a soy/coconut yogurt girl. I can still make cheesy spread out of plain yogurt, though, because it doesn’t bother me as much as, say, straight cheese.
Your yobaby is delicious looking. Errr, I mean, adorable.
I’ve not tried that brand of yogurt yet. Actually I just started back on WW this past week. Learning to track my food with the new points plus method (loving the calculator).
My favorite flavor of yogurt is vanilla – usually in most brands
Plain I like to take a couple of tablespoons and add that with some frozen fruit and bananas in a blender – helps me to get my fruit intake in.
I need to get motivated to start working out – any suggestions on what to start with first?
Video weigh-ins? You are my weight-loss hero..
I eat Fage religiously…just finished one 5 minutes ago. I haven’t tried Oikos, but this makes me want to..just saying.
For Oikos, my favorite flavor is honey. It’s yummy!
Congrats on the 4 lbs lost!
My favorite is the plain with honey kind they sell. I usually mix it with fruit. Nom nom.
I like it plain. Well, maybe with a spoonful of honey or a handful of fruit on top!
Vanilla yogurt, or just plain for me. I’ve never had that type of yogurt before though. I need to try it.
Love greek yogurt! Also a huge Fage fan (which my WW leader calls Fage instead of Fay-yah…annoying…) I love mine with honey and fresh berries! I also use plain greek yogurt like sour cream on savory dishes.
i like strawberry or vanilla- gotta have some taste! congrats on 4 pound loss sir. keep it up
holla
I’m loving plain with a little honey mixed it. Yummy.
I eat Stonyfield’s fat free plain yogurt every day!
Congrats on your loss!!! I think I’m going to have to give this whole Greek Yogurt thing a try – every weight loss blogger I know sings it’s praise!
I like plain best too. Oikos is one of my favorite brands too. Way to go on the 4 lb lose Tony.
Congrats on the 4 lbs. That is awesome.
I like my yogurt just plain.
I’m a plain kinda gal. I have never tried the greek yogurts- the price is always an issue for me. :/
I LURVE me some caramel yogurt!
My favorite flavor is plain. I like to add berries to mine…yum! Often I do use it in place of mayo or sour cream.
My favorite flavor is plain because I like to add my homemade granola to it (cause I’m fancy like that).
Woo Hoo… count me in!
I’m just now venturing into the greek yogurt world, and Oikos is one brand that I haven’t tried yet.
Congrats! I love Stonyfield but have yet to try Oikos. My favorite current flavor is Stonyfield’s Mango Honey!
keep up the great work! i would highly recommend kroger’s vanilla chai carbmaster yogurt…great flavor & a healthy option
I heart yogurt. Fo Realz. But I can’t stand the peach flavor. Makes me wanna gag
Congrats! !
Plain with my own fresh fruit mix-in for variety!
weigh to go!
I’ve never tried oikos… generally I use the trader joe’s version of the greek 0% fat yogurt. (and I eat lots…!)
love your blog and I’m following along with you (and working on my own trim/maintain-fest)!
I love oikos – and I usually get the plain and dress it up into my own tzatziki sauce or I put splenda and fruit in it.
I like vanilla greek yogurt
great job on the loss and I love stoneyfield they are local company for me!
It’s been a long time, but I am back…and doing so well. We share a common bond….that of the Cleveland Browns!!! Remember me yet….? If not just know I am back…and still proud of you!!
4 lbs? Great job, my friend. I lost 9 this week, but then again I’m just starting and most of it was likely water weight. Cheers, Rick
I am in love, love, love, with Greek yogurt! Congrats on your weigh-in!
Yum – Strawberry
I love plain yogourt with real vanilla (vanilla beans). Does the give away is also good for Canadian ?
Congrats on the loss!!! My favorite is the Oikos Superfruits, delicious.
I love the vanilla flavor! My kids would use that mini blender a lot!!
Fabulous! And… I love vanilla yogurt. It’s amazing.
Love my yogurt plain with either strawberries or blueberries. Occasionally I will have vanilla, or add 1 tsp of honey when I have just plain if I have no fruit. Congrats on your weight loss.
I love all of the greek yogurts and get my fill of them while I am in the sunny south. Back home (Canada) I can only get one brand and only plain. No flavours.
I love vanilla or plain. I like to add my own fruit and honey…yum.
4Lbs? Yeah
Congrats on the weigh in and I want to say I’m glad you’re doing the sponsorship thing finally. As long as your opinions stay honest and unbiased, I don’t care what you talk about as long as you keep posting.
However, am I the only one that noticed the date error. You said Thursday, January 24th, but the 24th is a Monday and Thursday is actually the 27th. Not sure if the typo is in the day or the date, so I hope I helped somehow.
I’m going to go give this Orko yogurt a try.
I will change that now, thank you
I just bought 3 different flavors of the Oikos greek yogurt last week after I’d heard enough times that greek yogurt was all the rage…I loved it. The fruit mix-in was the perfect amount and the texture was pretty darn good. I guess I was lucky that was what I tried for my first greek yogurt! Back to Suuuuper Target I go!
Love watching your progress and hope to pick up some tips as well. My life seems to revolve around what I’m going to eat next and when I’m going to work out next. As a single mom of 2, that means creativity is key.
Way to go on the 4lb loss!
Congrats!!
I like the Honey Oikos – best tasting greek yogurt I’ve found.
I don’t think they ship to sunny South Africa, so I’ll just say, well done and OMW, that baby is cute!
I just tried Yoplait’s chocolate yogurt with strawberry on top and it was good. I only recently have started eating yogurt. I’ve hated it my whole life and now all of a sudden it doesn’t make me gag. I’m happy about this because a lot of people eat yogurt to help them lose weight.
Great job on the weigh in!!! I love the plain Oiko’s, and my daughter used to love the yo’baby, but now she’s a big girl!! haha!!!
Oh wow! I just found your site this past week and I have enjoyed reading! I think that your posts are insightful and so intelligent! And my favorite flavor is vanilla.
I like good old peach! I HATE those horrid “cake” flavors like red velvet and boston cream pie. Gag!
I love Oiko’s honey. I also just use the plain in place of sour cream. Very yummy!
way to go on the weight loss! my fave oikos is strawberry! I tend to get one pack a week because of cost, but I also really like the Kroger brand CarbMasters…cherry!
I love plain. I like to add honey or fresh fruit!
I like plain too! I normally splurge for fage! I sometimes add strawberries and a spoon of granola. Never tried Oiko’s.
Vanilla with fruit and honey please! Mmmm. Or strawberry banana.
I just recently found your blog, and all I can say is way to go on the weight loss!!!!! I hope I can someday be as inspiring as you are.
