Today I woke up around 5:15am. My wife made me a list of things to do before I went to the gym. I like lists. If you tell me to do something, I will forget. But if you write it down, well, it is in my face.

I started doing the items on the list. Clean kitchen, do a little laundry, etc. Nothing major.

—-Two years ago, it took me a couple of hours to clean the kitchen. I would have to take a break every five minutes because of my back. It was hard for me to bend down to put plates in the dishwasher. I could not clean the floors because I could not get on my knees.

I finished around 6:30am. The baby woke up and I gave him a bottle. He chugged it.

—-Over two years ago a baby was not in the cards. I would not have been a fit dad since I could not take care of myself. At the time we were considering adoption, but I had so many other issues to take care of.

I got to the gym around 7:30am. It gave me around two hours to work out. I did the ArcTrainer for 60 minutes, the StairMaster for 30 minutes, and then I worked out my chest and triceps. I did that for 30 minutes as well. It felt good.

—-Over two years ago I would not have gone to the gym. I remember my wife wanting me to join a gym. I would probably enjoy it if I just went one time.

I got to work around 11am. It was busy when I walked in. I started to run around. I tried to help out as many people as I could. As a manager, you set the tone of the day. If I wanted to be in a bad mood, everyone else would have as well. I stayed positive. I did sweat more at work than at the gym. It was fun!

—-Over two years ago I would have sat in the office at work. I would have done paperwork and checked emails. I would not have gotten in the action. I was “lazy”. I learned how to delegate a lot of work. There is a lot of delegation in management, but respect comes from people working side by side with you as well.

I got home around 10:30pm. I turned on the computer for the first time today. I read some blogs and some other social stuff from my iPhone. I decided to write this post. I really am not that tired. I am getting up early tomorrow, so I will probably need to go to bed soon.

—-Over two years ago I would have been in the parking lot of a Taco Bell. I would have had a Chulupa in one hand and a diet soda in the other.

I have written it before. Anyone can lose weight.

Anyone can also control their destiny in life as well.
