Directlife coach Jen,

Just to let you know I did not think I would like this, but I do. I do see
myself moving more around the house. I do park a little further than normal and
I dance with the baby a little more.
My workouts have always been good, but I am not going to lie, I shake it a
little more because I love those little green lights. Being in week 4, I like
this.
Now, I see that you have also been helping a guy named Jack Sh*t, another
blogger. Why? WHY! I thought you were my coach. The one for me. Now I see you are helping another? I am crushed, hurt, and a few other words I will type once I buy a thesaurus.
He needs all the encouragement? Jack? He has been competing with
me for years. I remember when he was a little sh*t, we used to go to the hardware store together to see who could eat the most nails. He usually won, but once I did. It was a great day! Sure, I had to go to the hospital, but sometimes that is what needs to happen.
In all honesty, we have a lot in common, he likes to play basketball and I used to look like one.
I can not let him be more active than I am. I see you giving him secret
advice, so do you have any secret advice for me as well. You are both of our
trainers, but I know you like me more. I read it on your blog. Do you have a blog? Do you have a dog? I have a dog? Just curious.
Trust me, you do not need to say anything, I know you like me more.
Thank you for the cool quotes the other day. It pushed my activity calories up that
day.
On days I do not work it is tougher, but I am trying to get there.
So give me more encouragement. I need to beat my arch nemesis! Ohhhhh, that Jack!

Tony

Hi Tony,

Great to hear from you! It is fantastic to hear that you are enjoying
the program and making small changes in your everyday – indeed those
lights are a great motivator. I take it that you want more of a
challenge, hence adjusting your targets up. Great initiative. Have you
thought about how you are going to reach the target each day?
(especially on the days that you do not work)

In looking at your overall activity in the week view I do see an
upward general trend (compare your Week 3 lowest day to your
week 1 lowest day) This is good. Now that you have
increased your targets overall, it is still important to try to get
them each day. As a reference for you, a healthy level of activity for
you per day is attainable. Do you think that you will be able to
hit and maintain that level by the end of your Week 12 on a consistent
basis? Is this an enticing goal for you?

I do help Jack. He is very funny. Oh those song parodies, reminds me of a young Ray Stevens.
As for your blogger buddy/nemesis here’s a quote to keep you focused
on what is most important – you. :

“The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not winning but
taking part; the essential thing in life is not conquering but
fighting well.”
— Pierre de Coubertin, founder of modern Olympic Games

Keep at those daily small movements and we’ll be in touch soon!

BTW, I got an email from Tricia, she said, and I quote “STOP LINKING JACK!!!”

I have to agree, it is quite annoying.

Jen
